Stephen studied at the Royal College of Music and has been musical director or musical supervisor to an extensive range of productions. Theatre includes: Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Cats, Stepping Out, Bat Boy, Jesus Christ Superstar, Fiddler on the Roof, The Pirates of Penzance, Barnum, My Fair Lady, Hello, Dolly!, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Concerts include: The Magic of the Musicals starring Marti Webb, Tell Me on a Sunday with the RTE orchestra in Dublin and Best of the West End. Stephen has been musical director to international artists including Charles Aznavour, with whom he recorded several albums and toured worldwide. Stephen now devotes his time managing Musicians UK Ltd, one of the country’s foremost orchestral management companies. Present London productions include Spamalot and Grease, and tours include Flashdance, Cats and Grease. Recent productions include all UK tours of Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Starlight Express and Miss Saigon. Also Saturday Night Fever (London Palladium and tour), Aladdin (Old Vic), Beauty and the Beast, Singin' in the Rain, West Side Story, Dr Dolittle, Oliver!, Evita and Black Goes with Everything. Stephen also works with corporate and concert managements, including West End International, Beatlemania, supplying orchestras for their Best of the West End, Grease – The Concert, An Evening of James Bond and Elaine Paige in Concert. Recordings include: cast albums of Saturday Night Fever, Jesus Christ Superstar (20th anniversary), Stepping Out and Bat Boy – The Musical.
