Paul began his career in theatre sound as an assistant at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, becoming involved with numerous in-house and touring productions.

From there he went on to be a sound operator for West End and touring productions including The Lion King (Lyceum), Saturday Night Fever (UK tour), Miss Saigon (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane), Wayne Sleep’s Dance (UK tour), Blue Murder (UK tour) and Company (Library Theatre, Manchester).

As well as working extensively as a freelance engineer on many productions in the UK and Europe, recent years have seen Paul engaged as associate sound designer on Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular (Venetian), The Woman in White (Marquis, Broadway, and Palace), Whistle Down the Wind (Palace), Hair (Gate), Jesus Christ Superstar (UK tour), Saturday Night Fever (Apollo Victoria and UK tour), Starlight Express (UK tour) and Scrooge (UK tour).
