Training: BA Honours degree in creative design at the Central School of Art and Design, London, where he was introduced to theatre sound. He went on to work on many West End musicals including the original productions of Cats, Song & Dance, Starlight Express and Little Shop of Horrors. Theatre includes: West End and Broadway debut as sound designer on the world premiere of the Robert Stigwood-produced musical Saturday Night Fever (London Palladium and Minskoff, New York). He has designed a further ten productions of the show world wide. Other designs include: Whittington London’s Musical (Sadler’s Wells), Black Goes With Everything (Churchill), Starlight Express (Las Vegas and North American tour), Tell Me on a Sunday (Gielgud and UK tour), Scrooge The Musical (London Palladium and UK and North American tours), Jesus Christ Superstar (UK tour), the world premieres of the Andrew Lloyd Webber produced Bombay Dreams (Apollo Victoria and Broadway, New York), the world premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman in White (Palace and Marquis, New York), new West End productions of Saturday Night Fever (Apollo Victoria), Hair (Gate) and Whistle Down the Wind (Palace), the first UK tour of Starlight Express including Scandinavia, a new production of Evita (Adelphi) and Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular (Venetian), Ich War Noch Niemals In New York (world premiere, Hamburg) Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Adelphi), Zorro – the Musical (Garrick and world premiere UK Tour) and a new sound design for the long running The Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty's and Broadway). Upcoming productions: The Sound of Music (Toronto), Der Scuh des Manitu (world premiere, Berlin). Awards include: 2005 Olivier Award for Best Sound Design for the London production of The Woman in White and the 2006 Parnelli American Sound Designer of the Year Award in the USA for Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular.
