Training: Royal Academy of Music (Shinn FRAM), in Switzerland with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and in Chicago with scholarships from the Royal Society of Arts, the Worshipful Company of Musicians and the Ian Fleming Trust. Opera includes: Since making her solo operatic debut in Richard Strauss’s Elektra (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden) she has sung more than 25 principal roles with companies throughout the UK and Europe. She has sung as soloist at all the main London venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, Wigmore Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall and with orchestras including the London Philharmonic and London Symphony. Theatre includes: Confidante in The Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty’s), Mrs Pearce in My Fair Lady and The Good Old Days (Leeds City Varieties). Television includes: representing England in the BBC Singer of the World Competition, Only Fools and Horses, Rumpole of the Bailey, The Bill, ’Allo ’Allo and Cause Célèbre. Recordings include: Kneller Hall Live with the Combined Bands of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces (soloist: Last Night of the Proms). Solo albums: Favourite Things, Screen Gems, Wings of Passion. Jane has toured extensively with her one-woman cabaret shows Bizet to Bernstein and Viva la Diva for Cunard, Seabourn, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Saga, NCL and Holland America cruise lines.
