Training: Australian Ballet School in Melbourne.

Dance includes: Australian Ballet, Opera Australia and Petrushka in Petrushka, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker and first pas de trios from Balanchine’s Agon, and Swan Lake, Troy Game and Cinderella for the Royal New Zealand Ballet. From 1998 he has been a member of the Sydney Dance Company, performing throughout the world including Salome, Mythologia, Tivoli, Ellipse, Underland and Shades of Gray. In London, Gavin danced in the Royal Opera’s production of Mitridate (Dance Captain).

Theatre includes: Slave Master in The Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty’s), La Belle Hélène (English National Opera) and Carousel (dance captain, Chichester Festival).

As director/choreographer: Grace, Soul Effect (also composed the soundtrack), Emotor (Sydney Dance Company), choreography for Australian musical Story of Abbey and the latest music video for rock artist Juliet.

Film includes: directed and choreographed the short films First Came Loss and The Flow.
